I have been reading about the different exhaust systems on the market at this time and I was wondering if there are any major benefits to an all stainless exhaust compaired to an aluminized one? The price difference is substantial so that is why I'm asking. Also what is the difference between T-309 & T-409 stainless?? Any and all opinions are appreciated.
It all depends on how long you plan on keeping the truck. A PSD will last several hundred thousand miles and exhausts are always going out. There is a whole industry around exhaust replacement. If you are sticking with the truck go stainless. If you are trading it in a couple of years down the road, you won't get the price back on the Stainless.
And I am with Tim on the looks. Those rice burners can see it when they look up as I pass them
Gibby, if you are near saltwater, you want stainless. You can polish it if you like or think Hot Rod magazine is going to have a bikini model lay next to it so they can take pictures.....
