My 81 has been in storage for the last two years. before it went away it was running really well but now it stalls and misses when cold and takes a while to warm up. choke seems ok. any tips would be much appreciated.
If you didn't drain the fuel before you stored it, the gas is bad and it's turned to varnish. You might want to change the fuel filter a couple of times, get high octane gas to clean it out with some carb cleaner.
Those preservatives are good only for about 1 year, after that, they break down and let the gas gum up. I have a Pontiac that I put in storeag for 8 months, put in the preservative and it still ran like crap for about 2-3 weeks after I got it out.
Just remember, if you had a full tank, condensation isn't a big problem but if you only had half or less, water may built up in the tank and mixed with the gas. Good Luck
