Ford power steering pump
The power steering pump on my old 1981 F150 6CYL 4x4 has to be changed. I have seen some Broncos and Ford trucks at the junkyard with nice steering pumps. Does anyone know if steering pumps from later Ford models (late 80s or earlier 90s) can be put on my truck? I have power steering

I'd probably go get a reman pump. I put one on my '84 and it wasn't that much $$$. ($50??)
If you do pull one from the yard, 2wd pumps have different size pulleys that 4x4 models.. (at least on the '82 4x4 and the '84 2wd with 6s in them).

Thank you guys. I think I can change the pulley, I hope later models of steering pumps have the same outside diameter of axle where the pulley sits. The main question is:
Do the later models of steering pumps have different pressure (or something else) that can kill my steering box?
