Emblem question

Ok this may seem stupid but why is it that my 99 F-250 SD emblem on the fenders is all chrome, I notice that most the others are chrome with the “super duty” in red.
Any ideas? It’s a 99.

Nope, I got it used.
No big deal to me, it just seemed strange that I never see any otheres that are all chrome.

Mine is all chrome also, except for the Lariat in red. You aren't the only one. Emblems vary slightly depending on the package you have on your truck.

actually, ALL emblems come with F250-550 (whichever you have) in chrome with a black paint background and XL, XLT, or Lariat in red. someone probably used acetone to rub the black paint off and make the emblem all chrome.
