i am about to fab up a shackle reversal for my truck but i was wondering if anyone here has done it to their 86-91 f-350. i am looking for some pics of the bracket that comes in the ORU kit that boxes the frame in. I need a lil better idea of how theirs installs.
I made my own shackle reversal setup on my 95 1 ton, which would be about the same as yours. Saved myself roughly 400 bucks. It looks a lot like the ORU setup minus the pretty little holes in the leading edge of the front spring mounts. I have a close-up picture in the gallery of the front end....I can put some more of them in there if you want to see them up close.
Cutts,
I have the rear shackles (for the front springs) that I made for the shackle reversal before I had to make longer ones due to the arch of the 12" springs. They worked perfect for 6" springs. If you want them, I'll give them to you for the shipping charge. They're 3" center to center and have polyurethane bushings in them already. If you don't want them that's fine, but they'll save you some work if you don't have high-arch springs.
