This has been going on for awhile and it's time I do something about it. I have a 95 Bronco that used to ride pretty smooth, but now rides like a tank, as if my tires are welded to the frame. Everytime I hit a bump or pothole it feels as if the axles are hitting the bump stops, a real solid thud. Also, when ever I hit bumps or the truck leans one way or another the front suspension squeaks loudly, and very annoyingly. The smalles bump makes it squeak. I can only imagine what I sound like to other drivers going down the road. Now, for some history, I had the balljoints, front-axle uni's, and front brakes done (new rotors and pads) and had my auto hubs switched out for manuals about 7-8K miles ago. Any suggestions? The only things left up front that aren't new are suspension bushings, shocks, and tie-rods I guess. I tried greasing the all the grease points on the front suspension last weekend, but didn't resolve any of the problems. Thanks in advance for any help.
Agree with kaised.Use urethane bushings for the radius arm. The left side might be problematic to replace as you may have to drill as the bolts might be welded in.
Might want to also check the sway bar might just be worn out. also bushing and maybe even shocks. If you're getting alot of font end dip on turns while braking or just on turns in general and that front dips alot could be combinatin of shocks, bushings, springs (Unlikely), or sway bar. Check them out and see you should be able to see what really needs replacing. And the parts you can't tell, probably just need replcing anyway. Gotta keep in mind the mileage.
