Are you still having the A/C problem? If so, have you checked to see if your system is still pressured/charged up. If you don`t have enough refrigerant charge, your compressor won`t come on. Pull the connector off of the pressure switch on the accumilator/dryer and put a jumper wire in it. Turn your A/C on (with engine running) and see if the compressor kicks on. If so, you probably need refrigerant. If not, you probably have an electrical problem or the faces on the clutch/pulley etc. may be cover with surface rust from not being rotated. BTW, there has to be a connector on the compressor behind the pulley for the wire/wires to go that power up the clutch coil. Hope this helps.
ok i got my compressor to turn on and now i need some coolent where can you get some or how much and how hard is it to change to 134 thanks to the forum for all the people who helped me!
in oreder to convert you need to get all the r12 gas out. I have had good success with the $35 kits from Wal Mart and chain stores like O'Reilly's and such. Main thing is to get it vac'ed out. and you will likely need to go to a shop that does ac for that, just have them vac it down, then go home and do as the instructions say. Any questions, come on bacK! BTW, don't let them take any schrader valves out, you will need them in place, not to mention it is a waste of money to have them vac it and then release the vacuum, had one shop pull that on me.
