faster

hi, im currently looking for information on the biggest motor i can fit in my 80 f150 i had a 351m, but they suck for extensive performance,i have heard that the 460 would fit but maybe a little bigger,or a ford racing site?

Given enough time, money and expertise, you could fit the 500+ cu inch Cadillac V8 in there; it's your money. I wonder, though, why anyone would want to do something like this when the truck chassis is not designed to handle the speed, weight and potential cornering problems the larger engine would create. The F-150 frame will twist a couple of inches out of line if you put one wheel up on a curb; check it out! The chassis is designed for carying things, not high performance. I suppose you could modify the frame and suspension but for the money involved, you could probably buy a Ferrari.

You do have a point Charles, why spend the money? because hi po pick ups are the future! I do not know about you but id rather have a F150 that could romp on a ricer any day of the week then have a car that the other person knows that could beat them. As far as the motor goes id go 460 and kick it up from their
