unusual gears?
I have a 2000 F150 2wd with the 8.8 inch 3.08 non-limited slip axle. Most other people have either the 3.55 or 3.73 and I couldn't find another one at the dealer when I went looking at window stickers a while back. I got the truck with 15,000 miles as a program deal. I get awsome gas mileage of about 22 mpg and it does 80mph at 2000 rpm and 100 mph at about 2500 rpm. It also has no speed limiter it is just geared too high to pull after about 3000 rpm and probably gets to 120 mph. Was it special ordered this way or does anyone else have one with these gears?
