1991 Econoline EVTM
That's an "Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual for a 1991 Ford Econoline, and I guess I need one.
I bought this 12-passenger Clubwagon van (with 2 rear seats missing) to make my move from the northcountry to the south coast to be nearer my adult kids.
While unloading it by myself, the wiring under the dash caught fire, melted the instrument panel, fuse panel, etc. Found several major wires and some fusible links under the hood that were toasted, too--probably caused the problem.
Anyway, I'm relying on bus and bicycle until I get this van repaired enough to sell it. My pension is not enough, either, to hire the work out, so I'm doing lots of reading, taking lots of notes and pulling wire lots, too. ;>D
That manual would be a big help, if affordable.
Where can I find one? Or... any other helpful suggestions??
I've seen them on ebay, ending in the $10US plus shipping range...one thing that I was surprised to find is that there was actually a wealth of info including an EVTM for some years of Econoline at my local library. I would rather have my own, but if money was tight it would be worth a try. Another thing is that though the overall quality of the Haynes type manuals usually suck, they do include wiring diagrams rather than making you buy a separate volume. Good luck!

I found one at ebay, but too late. Besides I had no credit card. No sign of an EVTM at all in the entire Vancouver and Burnaby public library systems, although I did initiate an interlibrary search which should cover the province, at least. Found some Haynes and Chiltons with diagrams to compare. They aren't as pictorially clear as in the EVTMs.
Thanx for the suggestions. --Speedee

Yeah! I recognized your purchase on ebay 2 nights ago. I would hope I could lean on you a little if I run into any problems. What say?? --Speedee
