Doesnt your check engine light come on with no cats?
Some people get lucky and the light won't come on, My buddy's 96 ram's has never come on except when the pipe came off the header. and it has pre and post cat O2 sensors.
I think a good option is to go with glasspacks. If you want loud, just put your foot into it. I currently have this on my 74 F-250 and it is a little too much for my taste. I'm switching to Magnaflo.
some, my buddys dodge had a glaspack, with a cat and it wasnt loud at all, im putting a flowmaster 40 serries without cats on my f-150 tomorrow, im hoping its loud.
If you runs cats, you don't need any type of muffler on a 96 or older ford. The 4.6L's and 5.4's sound alot better than the 351 and 302. If your taking the cats off I'd run true dual on the truck and do it right. Run two 40 series non delta flow flowmasters with an x-pipe behind them or just use a dual inlet and dual outlet flowmaster. Balancing the two pipes together makes them sound so much better. I had true dual on a 91 F-250 witha 460 and used to cats off a dodge V10. They rotted off then I put on a dual in/ dual out cat on it and it sounded 100 times better
I'm just wondering if Bodacious ever figured out what he wanted to do, cause it seems that everyone is just arguing about what exhaust is louder or bragging about their own, when ol' boy just wanted some suggestions. So Bo, whats the verdict.
