As of right now, i have a tire size of p225/70r14, Is there any kind of tire that i can put on with that rim size and width...i have a huge area for wide tires but i dont know what to do.. i have a 98 ford ranger supercab 2wd... Thanx Andrew
Not much out there for 14" wheels. Upgrade to some cheap 15" wheels, and put on some 235/75/15 LT tires. It will look better, fill the wheel wells better and handle better around corners with LT tires. You might notice a little loss of power with any bigger tire though, of course.
well crap never thought of that before that may be a slight of a problem since i have a 4 banger and it strives to seek for power even with the A/C on ... i may still think of it though
205/70/15 will fit without even having to change the speedo gear or get a reprogram for the 95-later models.
215/75/15s will fit as will those 225/70/15 (same rolling diameter) and the 225s are a factory option that can be reprogrammed by the stealership. I wouldn't go for anything over that size with 3.73s or taller gearing or the mpg's go down quickly....not the point of owning a 2.5L, I bet.
