speaker wire colors HELP
alright, i have a 94' explorer XL, regular tape player....im trying to put in a new cd player, but one of the connectors on the back is different than the connector on the wiring harness...so, do any of you know which wires would mean what? there is a yellow, a purple with a white stripe, a white with red stripe, a white with an orange stripe, a brown, a green, a light blue, and a light blue with a black stripe. the local audio store wants $50 to install it, and id rather not have to shell out the cash...so HELP PEOPLE

OK - first off - before you cut the plugs off the wiring harness, I suggest going to your local stereo shop and buying a set of Metra adapter cables. That makes the easiest way to do this. Plus if you ever want to put the factory radio back in, you would still have the plugs in the dash.
If not, then I can tell you what each wire is, but it can get confusing because the wires I have are different colors, but in the same order on the plug.
