I have a ford e250 1987. It's a PTO carpet cleaning sysytem. I put some stop leak in this past winter because of heater core leaking. Since then I have changed heater core, radiator, thermostat, cleaned out water pump, which had stop leak in it, power flushed it.
Here is what is happening, when I drive around town... no problem! only when parked and cleaning, the temp gage reads around 195-200 degrees, but after around 45 mins of cleaning at 1700 rpms the van engine starts to sputter and then dies. After 45 mins or so of letting engine cool down, the vehicle starts up and appears to operate normal. The worse part is this is effecting my business, you know "No cleaning No money!"
My vehicle is a V-8 302 fuel injected, 3/4 ton, 147,000 miles it was a rebuilt engine at 40,000 miles. Both clutch fan and water pump has been serviced.
