replacing trans in 1985 E-350
I have a 1985 E-350 27FT Class C RV with a 460 CI engine and a three speed transmission, with a Dana 70 rearend 410 gear ratio. Can I put a three speed with overdrive in this? I am not getting good mileage now, so will I get better fuel mileage and cooler running if the engine is not working so hard. I live in Toledo,Ohio so if anybody has any idea where to get one if I can use it I'd be very thankful. Thanks again, JJ

Check out the Gear Vendor's thread here. I assume you have have a C6 behind that 460. I'm sure you can find a later model OD auto, but the Gear Vendor thing will give you 6 gears. Read all about it.
