I have 1988 ford f150 4.9 manuel trans. Swapped battery while running about 2000 rpm. engine died have not been able to restart. Sprayed engine starting fluid in throttle body and acts like it wants to start. Getting spark to plugs, ecc relay, fuel relay work. not receiving any trouble codes any suggestions? thank you.

See if you can pull the engine codes if not my guess is you got the ecc module. You really can't get away with doing the battery swap while running trick anymore. It cause a pretty goog voltage spike and a loss of ground. This really messes with the computer. You might try unhooking the battery for a short time and see if that resets the computer.

Have camper and was watching television wanted to get dead battery charged quickly and also continue watching television. With all due respect I was hoping for solutions not questions in judgement. Thank you though if you could come up with something It would be appreciated.
