Hello,
Can you put a transmission out of an 88 F-150 that is 4x4 into a 2wd truck because my 2wd truck dropped the tranny and i have a 88 4x4 thats is bein junked. Well let me know at meierotto_15_@hotmail.com thanks

Sure, but you'll need to install the transfer case with it - unless you have the parts to change them over (rear housing).
Are the two trannys the same type? If so, just change out the guts.

That's what I meant...
Take that rear housing and tailshaft and be done with it.

Swapping the tailshaft may be a little more involved than simply remove and replace, depending on what tranny it is. Might want to call a local tranny shop and ask what's involved in doing the tail swap.
