A/C trouble

another little problem is my airco. when I switched it on, it ran for about 5 seconds, and then the compressor clutch starts clicking in out in out in a two second rythm. I went to a garage, and they told me that I need a refill, because lack of cooling gas r134a. I went to a garage where they filled it up, and it appeared to work fine, but after 4 miles the same noise comes up again. there is no leak in the system, and according the worksheet they filled it with 1800 gram of r134a. if it is one of the pressure switches, what can be the cause?
any advise welcome, because here in holland it is very difficult to find a USA car specialist ( they all used to the little ones)
regards
henk

Did they do a leak test? Sure sounds like it lost the refrigerant they put in.

the refrigerant is still there, they did the leak test and it was O.K. I heard that the low pressure or cycling switch is adjustable, and I changed the setting a little. first too much, everything was frozen, then I turned it a bit up again, now it looks fine. perhaps I have to take the switch of, and set it to the proper settings, but for now it looks O.K.

thanks for the respond

Glad to hear you still have your refrigerant, and got it working....
