Chip or Tuner

I currently have a SCMT and run it on the 110 setting pretty much all the time. I run a 4" straight open exhaust and a tymar intake. I have guages installed for pyro, tranny temp, and boost. I also have the sonnax tricumulator mod installed. I still don't really have the power I wan't. Would going to a big chip help??? If so can anyone give me a good suggestion on chip selection.

Thanks
Nuke

If you're interested in more power, give some thought to propane. Using my butt-dyno, I'd say it gives three times the increase that a chip does. If you're currently running in the 110hp setting all the time, with your mods, you're probably putting out a lot of power, but have just gotten used to it. Propane or water/meth injection will take you a while to get used to.

I had an SCMT and then stepped up to a 4 pos. flip chip with a top setting of 125HP. It definitely blows the tuner out of the water, but with more power also comes higher EGT's. I really have to watch the gauges a little closer than I did with the tuner. The main reason I went with a chip was the waiting to change settings with the tuner was getting old - more power was just the icing on the cake.

Smile Just a question

OK, If I do add propane, would I keep my tuner setup as well? If I go to a flip chip who makes a good one for the 7.3 post 99?
