If I may add my 2 cents here, given the symptoms you gave, is there any possibility that there might be a wire shorting the system? This really appears to me to be an electrical problem, whereas there might be a short somewhere causing the ignition module to overheat at some point? I would double check all the wiring from distributor to coil to ignition module, and in any case, make sure you have a good ground for the ignition module. If you question whether a wire might be good/bad, replace that wire anyway. You never know that there could be a brittle/broken insulation for the wires that can go very easily overlooked or hidden.

Another possiblity, maybe someone can chime in on this part, but is there any possiblity that the voltage regulator can have an impact on regulating the input voltage to the module?

BlueOvalFanatic, dude you have a good problem , I was haveing a problem somthing like that,dying off an on, what i did on my 73 F-100 390 was replace my Resistor wire, it was about 64" long ( its a spaical wire )it ran 10" away from the IGN switch under the dash/its sliced in,then it ran above the heater box out the fire wall to the coil, i got it at the dealer, i put a new Accel 50,000 volt coil, no more problems. GOOD LUCK TNT note : It maybe raped in your loam.

You guys might be onto something. I will try a few things, but wont be able to mess with it for a few days...my boss is on vacation, so I am working mucho hours, and I have 50 football helmets to paint before next Tuesday for our local little league.

I will try;
1. Check carb banjo bolt for a filter (possibly clogged)
2. Try running it with a fuel line into a gas can
3. If #2 seems to help, blow out the fuel line from the tank
4. Check wiring harness
5. Check coil

And if it stalls again, I will immediately check for spark at the coil/distributor. I need to be more methodical, but sometimes when something goes wrong, we start getting 100's of ideas in our heads. That can at times seemingly just "cloud the water" more.

Again, I appreciate the help, and I will keep you guys posted.
