Hey guys im looking for an upgrade to a performance chip will this add horsepower and if so about how much and where can i find a chip. It is for a 97 Ford Ranger with the 2.3L engine also where is the computer in that model truck located at cuz i have looked all over for it and i can not find it i thought it was under the kick panel but i replaced those and it wasn't there. Thanks again for any input you guys can give me.

The computer is under the hood, top/center of firewall.
