Older computer chips

Does anyone know jsut how far back they make performance chips? I have an 85 Fullsize Bronco with a 302 EFI and I would like to know if its possible to get a chip or even to do the swap for it. I have only looked at SuperChips but they dont carry em.
Thanks All!

1986, but most support really starts at 1988 and drops off a lot for 1987 and 1986.

Guess I'll have to look for another Bronco then.

Hey Ken, is it possible for BillyBob to install a later computer and MAF sytem rather than a whole new Bronco? Just a thought. I have a Vex1 out of a 94 stang in my truck thats been reworked for my 393. I'm not real up on all of the possibilities in the electronics department, but your involved with the burning on these chips, right? So maybe with your assistance there is an answer to this problem, or is this a waste of time to do?

Yes, or he can use a Jet chip (tunes at wide open throttle only) as mentioned. If the engine isn't fresh and low mileage its probably not worth the gains he's going to get. I know longer support EEC-IV custom applications because its too much time involved for little money and I can't operate at a loss --- and often people involved can't or don't want to spend the money to do a build right.

The motor has about 50k on it. Still runs great and compression is still on the high end.

Now could you put in laymen terms what you guys were talking about? What would I be looking for and out of what vehicle?
