Thought its time for the 53s. Figured with a little fender triming I'd be there. Well, I got a little carried away. Then, I noticed the inner fenders were in the way so I lost those...then the hood went. Now, those 53's fit just fine. But did I go too far ?
No, I'm thinking you still need a blower and Rockwells on there. That picture is awesome Pro! Bodywork is too much hassle for me . . . I'd just be leaving those fenders off.
Btw, That still trips me out not seeing a radiator up there. I just keep thinking that I KNOW something here doesn't look right.

dude, your truck sucks...
seriously though, ROCKWELL TIME!!!!!!
you can get two rockwell for about $4000 with detroit lockers...
can i have the one ton gear after you go to rockies? just e-mail em to me, it wont be a problem. i know i cant run my truck too wild in pa, but if it were legal, i would run it with just the cab on it. i've been meaning to ask, how much of your sheetmetal is original? it looks pretty dang good, and did you decide what paint scheme to go with yet?
When I go with the rockwells I'll put these axles in my trail rig. My buddy was looking at it and commented it would be pretty cool if I made some custom flat fenders ala' *******. Sacraligious I know, but I was eyeballing it and it would be totally cool. I think I'll do it for my trail rig. The sheetmetal is rust free, except for the bed which is in bad shape. Aside from the fenders and the inner fenders the cab and such is in good shape. Thats what I'm replacing here before I paint. A lot of dents have been pounded out of the doors and cab but the body hammer has restored it to practically new. Once I decided to stick with mud drags, mud bogs, and light trails only I decided to paint it and fix it up. You can't have a proper trail rig if your not prepared to destroy it...so a dedicated trail rig is in the works.
Paint scheme is flat black with a punisher skull on each door.
i hear that about the trail rig part, my boss keeps askin me why i dont just spend the money and buy a really clean cab and bed, but with the body i have, it's solid, but i don't hafta worry about keeping it pretty. trail rigs just aren't pretty. i figure in about 5 yrs after the pa rust eats through this cab, i'll get something really nice. the punisher paint scheme is gonna be bad ***, make sure you have a few bullet holes airbrushed on. getting some black wheels like the new ar tephlon series would make it really punisheresque.
I kinda thought it would be bad **** to get the the complete exterior rhino-lined black. Would look rough and gnarly and be super tough. But, it would also add a bunch of weight. The industrial acrylic I'm using works for me.
I always like that teal color, but now that I am more $$ into my project than I wanted, rustoleum won out. However, now that I have done more panels, I think the spray paint version is the way to go. I like my truck too much to not use it. I don't see huge chunks ripped off from boulder hopping or tree bouncing, but there will be plenty of brush scratches, and I would CRY if it happened to a "real" paint job.

did you look into Herculiner? a little cheaper and you probably don't have to put it on as thick.
