Newbie here

Hi guys. Great forum you have here. I hope to gain some valuable knowledge on my 5sp 300 f-150.

In my gallery, there is a picture of my engine. Can anyone tell me what that rusted coffee can, looking thing on the left side of the engine is for?

Thanks for any help.

Coffee.

Seriously that is the vaccum canister, where engine vaccum is stored for the HVAC duct work and other vaccum operated devices (I.E. cruise control, EGR Valve, etc). By the way, welcome to the forum, and I hope you have as much fun here as I do.

Thanks Argo, I swear, it looks just like a coffee can.
