RPM intake
Hey all, I got my 390 out of my truck(needed somethin to do, why not tear apart my truck, right?), and while I was talkin to a guy at my work(a Chevy guy, I might add) about my build, he asked me if I had filled the exhaust X-over ports in my heads when I used the Edel RPM intake. Is this really necessary, or was he blowing smoke about the exhaust hitting the intake and heating it up too much? Seems to me that if I use the FelPro 1247 gasket which blocks off the X-over passage(or so I think it does), then it certainly can't heat the intake any more than the stock ones with the X-over in use, right? Gimme some ideas on how y'all have your RPM's installed, all I really thought about was port matching.
