Well I thought it was over, not using the A.C.Not a chance.Today was a hot one didn't use the A.C.and still got the suprise of blue smoke and a wet back window with tranny fluid, leaking from the front seal.Checked out to see if I had an external tranny cooler,I do,now my problem is,is that causing the problem?Wonder if it is clogged? We have been having weird weather, now thunderstorms, filled her up and hoping for a miracle, back to work tommorow. My question is,was the tranny cooler original equipement or is it an extra percaution.Should I elimenate it or is that just asking for more trouble? Any input is appreciated,I'll try to keep yous posted,if the tranny can last?

The tranny cooler was an option and standard on the towing package. It is extra protection and precaution for the tranny. It might be clogged but I think you need to replace your front seal from the sounds of it, that is your problem. A clogged hose or cooler might be causing excesive pressure, but my money is the seal is worn out and needs replaced.
Don't remove the cooler since it is important, but sounds like the seal is a gonner. Since you have to remove the tranny, consider a complete rebuild-since these trannys are known for problems.
