just wondering?

i bought a 1997 f-150 about three weeks ago. now i ahve noticed a rumbling that sound like it coming from the rear end. i start to hear it when i get up to 55 to 65 mph. if anyone has had a similar problem can you let me know what i should do. thanks

Haven't had that problem..but ,here is something worth checking out at leakingfords.com. I am in the process of having a Marshall engine installed because of this.

thanks for the info. luckily i have a 4.6. i cant see myself buying a 6 cylinder for some reason. i love to v-8 power i guess.

Does the rumbling noise change when you're on or off the throttle?
Does it get louder as you go faster?

it doesnt get louder and i havent noticed if it changes if i am on the throttle. ill check today. i only here it around 55 to 65 mph. i dont here it before that or after that. its weird.
