Hey Guys,
There is a guy on Ebay selling wht he claims are original Ford OEM Expedition floor mats which I would like to get for my 97. He says they fit 97-02 models. They are the black heavy ribbed vinyl with the Ford logo and the front mats say Expedition down each side in white. They are in original Ford boxes with part numbers XL1Z-7813086-JAA and XL3Z-7813106-NAA. I searched high and low and can't confirm these part numbers but wanted to know if any of you can confirm whether or not the 97-02 all use the same mats (2 single fronts and rears) and if these are valid part numbers.
Thanks
Dean
I can't help with the part numbers but both of my EB's came with 2 front/2 rear mats. Neither had "Expedition" in white on them though. One EB was a 4x2 and one was a 4x4, although neither had "expedition" in white on the floor mats.
I have bought several items from ebay .For my 2001 expy eb.if the seller is bones enterprizes ,it's a good bet it's a ford item .my brother bought a mat from them for his mountaineer, and i have bought a storage compartment for behind the 3rds seat both items came in ford boxes .Boatowr
'97-'02 should use the same mats, whether rubber backed carpeted or other.
although i cannot confirm part numbers for you, what you are describing sounds remarkably similar to the ribbed heavy duty rubber mats currently in my '97 eb.(i took out the carpeted mats long ago to store- they dirty up rather quickly....yes, i was cleaning them at each washing of the truck!).
mine are the light grey interior color, ribbed, with the ford logo at the front (black on white oval) and expedition spelled out going down the side of each front mat. high quality....the drivers side has the reinforced circle for the no slip tab. i did purchase these from a local ford dealer. i have been very satisfied with them.
i'd say if you like what you see in the ebay ad, go for it! good luck.....
