New Job
I have been hired as the Front Office Manager of the Holiday Inn in Lawrence, KS. I start on the 28th. I am a bit excited, this is my first full managerial position in a hotel. I was the Asst. FOM at one of the Holiday Inns in Wichita for 2 years so I am prepared for this. It looks like I'll get to meet Mark and the "other" Tony soon. Oh, for you Lawrence guys, it's the Holiday Inn on McDonald Dr., right off I-70.

No, we are keeping the house here, I'll come home on the weekends. As far as Winsteads goes, I want to bring my folks up there when we have a g2g, I know my step-dad would be excited to go.

Hey that is great news!! Lawrence has only one Holiday inn. It is not too far from my house either!!!

Holiday-Inn.com says that there are two, the one I work at and one at 3411 SW Iowa St. That one is an express though and most people don't pay those any attention. I am looking forward to meeting all the NE guys.

Yes, there is one on the south end of town also. Congrats on the new job. You'll be between me and Marks house so we will be able to take turns coming to see ya!

You guys are both more than welcome to come visit, and if I'm busy, you can always play a round of mini golf in the lobby. I'll be at the hotel for the first month, then I gotta find a place to stay. I have a friend that is a cop in Baldwin, but lives in Lawrence. I might be able to rent a room from him, if not I'll probably end up in Baldwin with another buddy of mine. Worse comes to worse, I'll look for a studio, but i don't even want to think about what rent will cost me in Lawrence. That could ultimatley make the job not worth while.

Mark, if you are serious about that, I will probably take you up on it. I know that my friends have some things going on, last I heard her mom was staying with them while they were house hunting. I don't know if that is still the situation or not.
