Ranger configurations by model year
I am in the market for a '98 - '99 Ranger and would like to know what configurations were built in those years (and perhaps newer models as well). Things such as available engine/transmission type combinations are of special interest. Is there a web site that could provide this information?

There was a wider variety of configurations before 2001. You could still get the 4.0 in a regular cab and the engines available were the 2.5 SOHC 4 cylinder, 3.0 OHV V6 and the 4.0 OHV V6, all available with manual or automatic. One idea would be to go to www.kbb.com to check blue book values and it should give possible configurations for model year.
