from a previous post i saw:

Walker part number 45166. Advance Auto price back on 4-23-04 was $52.48. I found it at Advance by searching for "Catalytic Converters" for a 1988 F-150 e/w 4.9 six.

I have a 95 and the hose that runs into the cat is an air hose from your air pump. I removed it and both cats and run only one high flow cat with the 40 series fm. I also have jack clifford headers I hope that helps a little

I have an 87 EFI and run straight headers with the O2 sensor, runs perfect. No need for cats or that hose.

At the time I was in VA do to being in the Navy and had to have the cat. When I go back to Tn I wil remove it and run nothing but the Flowmaster. It has great sound now I can't wait to hear with out the cat.
