Not yet, but I'm moving in Feb. to the Gaithersburg are from Buffalo NY. I've been meaning to get on here and ask you guys about vehicle inspections and such when I have to register my 84 F150 4X4. Do they use a sniffer down there or just check to see if your emissions equipment is in place like NY? Here at inspection time I just install my smog pump belt and rig up my air tube which rusted off where its connected to the exhaust pipe. If they check hydrocarbon levels I might be in for alot of money to get it to pass. Thanks to any soon-to-be neighbors.

it depends on the county in MD.
Where I am at (Calvert County) they put your car on a machine that allows them to simulate highway driving and I think that is done with the sniffer. Other "more rural" counties don't have any req.
Gaithersburg is in Montgomery County. They'll put you on a dynamometer type machine and check for all emissions output. They'll check fuel filler for unleaded restrictor plate, and sometimes check underneath for cats.
We used to live in Glen Burnie. Grew up in Odenton/Gambrills. Miss the area around Crofton and Gambrills, it has built up a good bit. My Dad lives in Bowie part-time, Mom lives in Gambrills, in-laws down in Dunkirk. We are now in Virginia headed west to Arizona probably. Bummer.
