I6 with C6

i don't know if this is the right forum but i'll give it a shot, i have a 88 f150 w/I6, it has a manual 4spd with od, my question is, will a C6 trans bolt up to this motor? thanks in advance for any info

It was an option for some years. But I do not know if it was as late as 88. But AFAIK they did not change the housing. So.....

I seem to remember there being something about the kickdown linkage though.....

it needs to be a C6 with the 300/260/302/315w/351c bellhousing pattern

it will be the small block bell housing pattern. The problem is the kick down linkage. There is no provision for one on a fuelie motor.The a04d use a cable attached to the throttle plate.
