Okay, so my truck is in my profile, i am currently running a set of 37x12.5 swampers. But as the truck has become more of a DD i want a tire that is going to last, i have a jeep to wheel, so i am too worried about off road capability. I am looking at the 38x15.5, not in the pics is fiberglass front fenders that are bulged and raised and a bulged bed, so the 38's will fit pretty easy. So, my question is, for the extra 600 bucks over the swamper SSR's are these pjs going to last that much longer?
Hey check out the swamper trxus mt I have heard good things about those not sure if they make them in a 38 though they are a tighter pattern than the ssr.
I never thought of the TRXUS, i know that the STS is an ugly tire that i wont run. The biggest BFG made for a 16" wheel is a 35, i am not stepping down that small in the pursuit of good wearing tire. It looks the TRXUS isnt any bigger than a 35 either, which sucks, the STS is offered all the way up to 38, looks like i am going with the PJ's. thanks for all the input.
Me too...Ive got some pics of them in my gallery. They are pretty quiet for their size, the side lugs are huge, they seem to be wearing well, and they fling a lot of goo...and I mean a LOT.
I wouldnt consider anything else on something that sees moderate street duty.
I think the PJ's look great and wear pretty good. I've never heard anyone sing thier praises for offroad performance. After I lift my truck another 4.5", I'm going to go with the PJ 38's. Can't get anything bigger under my truck right now.
