You have a catalytic converter that has two converters in the front of the exhaust system. There is then an extension pipe to the actual muffler, from the muffler it goes to a resonator and then the tailpipe. The resonator is there to cost you more money. If you are taking the truck to a shop for a new system, tell them to put in a cheater pipe in way of the resonator. It should save you a few bucks and since the new muffler will quiet down the truck again, you won't notice the difference if the resonator is there or not.
