i did a search before posting and couldnt really come up with anything. Also did a search on the web and nothing i wanted to see. Does anyone have or know where to get a locking cap for our diesel tanks. long story short i had a friend who had a grudge with somone and lets just say they really messed his truck up poured somthing in it who knows and was about 5g's to get fixed. Not that i have any reason to worry but a 20 dollar cap might now be a bad idea when you think what we have in there.

I bought one yesterday at Auto Zone. Cooling System Technologies Part #5501 The company is CST, Inc., Mt. Carmel, Illinois 62863. Auto Zone doesn't have it listed on their computer for the PSD but have one on their shelf that will work off some other car/truck. Just pull the little gromet out and the cap will come off so you can take it in the store and compare.
Lucky for you I hadn't dumped the trash!

i cant figure out what the difference is between a threaded filler neck and a none threaded filler neck , also what is the difference between the pre-release locking and the regular locking? im guessing that you (FNIVME2) use the #10501. if it works for you im guessing it will work for me just curious as to the differences. thanks
Threaded filler neck has course threads like a bolt has threads and you have to screw the cap down. Others have a tab with slots sort of like a radiator cap.
ok cool , i am guessing the threaded is better, i screw the factory one in to is that concidered a threaded or regular. and the pre-release as apposed to the regular locking? thanks again for the info
