First C6 in P/U?

In the part code the letter "C" stands for the 1960's and 6 would make that a 1966, so it was designed in 1966 and was on the FE series engine first.
C4 is 1964,
C6 is 1966,
D0 is 1970,
D6 is 1976,
E3 is 1983,
E9 is 1989.

Mike while you are correct on the C4 & C6 build years, but it doesn't answer his question. In 66 the C-O-M was the auto tranny offered in trucks and several years later before the C4 was used.
