I have a 77 F250 with a 351. It has the original 2 barrel carb. Lately it has developed this problem where if I turn left it may hesitate or stall out and then it's flooded and won't start up again for a while. Reason I say it's flooded is I can see the fuel vapor in the tail pipe if I look up there, after cranking it. After a few hours it will start and runs ok but before that I cannot get it to restart. This problem happens cold or hot.
That's odd...I would take a look at your needle valve to make sure it's not gummed up, and I would also recommend checking the fuel level in the bowl. Make sure the float isn't sticking either. Just be careful if you push the float down with the air horn off because there is still fuel under pressure under the needle.
maybe you have to spend more time near those tasty vapors
i can see it now
""wait better look closer.. huh no vaporZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz""
