My take as one of the early adopters of the Predator...
first and foremost - got it from Motorhaven that supports this great site and cheaper than the MSRP with next day shipping... good service from good people
1) on-line updates - no $30 each way shipping and loss of use for weeks while updated
2) PROVEN, documented, and POSTED verification of the +100RWHp or more... No BS from certain individuals about why no dyno sheets or why the moon is purple will cause the SC to produce less HP- blah blah blah (sorry not being harsh just have a real aversion to BS)
3) SOLID shifting as opposed to many modules/tuners when I got mine
4) Completely changes the driving character of a already nice truck - it's now an 8k lb sports car !
5) Keeps the wanna be's from under your wheels with just a slight push of the throttle!

My Predator will never see 105 H.P. because I don't want to invest in the other nec. stuff @ that H.P...Not only that but I'm getting to ding dang old to go that fast that quick these days.
65 H.P. setting impressed me enough! It impresses those that aggravate me too. In fact, I get to impress others alot in Dallas traffic. One little puff of black smoke (after burners) and the offending party starts looking pretty small in my rear view mirror.
I have the Superchips and am quite pleased with it.
Have tried it in both the Econo and Hi Perf tunes. The shift point at light throttle could be lowered a bit on the Econo tune but doesn't really bother me all that much. The firmness of the shift under the same light throttle conditions that some others have complained about doesn't seem that bad to me either.
All in all, pleased so far. I'll be towing the trailer up to Big Bear next weekend so we'll see how much improved that part of the performance is - that's really why I bought it after all.
In both the Econo and Hi Perf tunes there's a nice improvement in performance over stock. In the Hi Perf tune, you better be in 4WD if you are going to floor the thing off the line because it really roosts. But when you're at full tilt from 75 MPH on up is when the thing is really amazing - that is when you get the full afterburner effect going.
Mine is a Predator too. No contest between the two. Check my gallery for the dyno sheet!
Bob, I don't mean to sound offensive here, but just wanted some clarification. You state that there is no contest between the two. Have you owned or tried both? I don't think we've seen any dyno sheets from the Superchips yet (maybe I missed them), so just wondering what this is based upon. Personally I am still deciding which one to buy, so I am unbiased either way.

superchips does have dyno sheets out, on their website
I see 14 HP and 150 ft. lbs. difference, am I correct? Could this just be the difference in '03 and '04 trucks we have been hearing about?
I read part 1 of a 4 part series about tuners that Ken put out awhile ago comparing the different tuners on the same truck / same dyno. Have any other of the series come out yet with direct comparisions of the tuners on the same vehicle/dyno?
