I thought it was interesting that the monetary unit I first thought of checking the exchange rate on, the Swedish crown, was the default selection. Then I looked up at the web address and saw ".se" which is the 2-letter code for Sweden. So this is a Swedish site. Det ar bra! -TD
Well I'm not from Sweden or even know how to speak Sweden and really couldn't say what "Det ar bra!" means. But anyways I found the link from this site http://haxx.se
Someone on ebay was selling an Archos mp3 player and said he upgraded the firmware to a Rockbox version, hosted at http://rockbox.haxx.se
Most of the time when I see such pages I look them trough to see what else they have and the currency exchange was one of them.
Ought to be a lot of Swedes up there in your neck of the woods. But I know what you mean, I like to explore a little when I come across a new site. Last night after I tried the link to the currency exchange calculator, I dropped the /~dast/currency/ from the URL and it went right to the main site, all in Swedish. I have to say, the currency calc. was the most interesting thing there! -TD
Seriously though when I was in the Navy we always had to exchange currency before going ashore. Naturally the lines were long so we would often wait and go to a bank on shore. Some guys from my ship noticed that the Italian exchange rate was about 1100 lira/dollar. A guy on the street was offering 1400 lira/dollar. After getting the "good deal" these guys realized they had bought the equivalent of Confederate money. Worthless.
