post this question on the appropate forum, here goes: What are you
supposed to do w/the TSB's? What are the fixes? Do I show them to my
friendly Ford Quality One mechanic who tells me there isn't anything
wrong w/my X? I have found 3 TSB's that may have some bearing on my
frustration w/the smiling mechanic. Thanks

Are you referring to the titles of the TSBs or the complete text? If all you have is just the titles, then you need to get the complete text and read through it so you understand exactly what the TSB deals with. You can subscribe to Alldata (www.alldata.com) which will give you access to the complete text. If you already have the complete text, then it depends on how well you get along with your Mechanic. I will usually give them one or two tries on their own to fix the problem. If it becomes apparent that they need a push in the right direction, I will print out the TSB and bring it with me. Frequently the Mechanic will take offense to this though since they do not like some uninformed consumer telling them how to troubleshoot their vehicle. This goes back to my question, how well do you get along with your Mechanic?
