Vaccum Question.
Ok, this is a '77 300 I6 with EGR in a '70 truck. It has 3 vac. ports on the carb, and 3 on the EGR. Question is, there is vac. advance for the distributor, I hooked it to the carb, there is a PCV, it's on the carb, there is a vac. line that goes to the trans module, it's on the EGR. Is that right, the other port o nthe EGR is plugged and one is not. This thing hasa 1bbl, a friend offered to rebuild it, so I let him. It's on there, but fuel is coming out of one of the vac. ports, whats the deal? I know he probably put it together wrong because he does mainly 4bbls, he can rebuilt his Edelbrock 4 blindfolded, told me it was his 1st 1bbl and it may not be right. So i am going to plug the vac port that the fuel is coming out of. There is 1 other port on the carb I was questioning, and it's up higher, don't know what it does, it is right under the toip on the venturi on the passenger side angles backwards, if that helps. The carb was just sitting o nthe truck when I got it so I am not sure of where anything goes, have a Chiltons manual but it doesn't reall go in detail about the vaccum hook ups. Thx for any help
