distributor mechanical advance
1979 460.
I need to get a 12L advance to replace my 16L. I went to 2 parts stores as well as the dealer without any luck. I dont really have time to be taking apart junkyard distributors. Where can i get the appropriate part? Should i just weld up the gap 25% (-the width of the tang) or put a piece of vac hose on the tang? Id prefer to get the right part.

good question because i am in the same boat with my 79. I have the 16l weight and want the 13L and 18l weight but the parts stores don't carry ford weights and the Ford dealership didn't call me back. I bought a dizzy hoping it would have something else but it to had the 16l weight. Good luck and let me know if you find something.
