Mass airflow??
Okay guys, I am fairly new to this mechanic stuff and the stuff I have learned on this site is awsome, I actualy can carry on a conversation with someone and pretty much stay along and understand. But I still don't know what a mass airflow is or a mass airflow conversion is. So please tell me, and what is it's benefits?

It's just the method the engine computer uses to measure incoming air. There is mass-air and there is MAP/speed density. MAF systems use a meter in the air stream to determine the mass of the air entering the engine, while Speed Density uses the MAP sensor (measures manifold vacuum) as the basis for determining fuel needs, while using other sensors to trim the air/fuel ratio.
