93 F-150 Engine replacement
I have a 93 F-150 Exteneded Cab 2WD with a 302. It has 225,000 miles and is ready for a new motor. It Knocks like crazy, and has low oil pressure but other than that it runs great. I am looking to get a used motor to throw in there. What years will provide for a straight swap? I found a 302 with serial number E2175608. The guy says it is late 80's early 90's. What should I be looking for? It is a vin N truck. Does it have to be out of a f-150?
Secondly, would it be easy to upgrade to a 351? Will there be a lot of modification in upgradign to the 351? I pull a 29ft travel trailer with it and would use those extra horses if it will be an easy upgrade.
