I got an 89 BII 4x4, it has a 4 in rough country sus lift.
My rear leaf springs are shot, i believe the owner before me pulled trailers with it etc, cuz i found some wiring for trailer brakes.. lol, BII pulling a trailer . Anyways i need new leaf springs, my rear end sits lower then my front by atleast an inch of so. James Duff sells some but they want almost 300 dollars! thats too much for my college budget. I would like some good arched springs that are not really stiff so they can flex but they will still give my truck that good looking stance. Any ideas>?????
Go to your local junkyard and fine a 91-94 4x4 Xplorer and get the springs, off it the only thing you need to do is turn the center bolt on the spring pack over then bolt them in.
Why do i need to turn the center bolt of the spring pack over??? What do you think a decent price would be for a set of leaf springs?
thx again.
The X spring is mounted to the bottom of the axle the center bolt sticks out the top of the spring,on the BII the spring is mounted to the top of the axle the center bolt sticks out the bottom. Hope this helped.
At a local pick and pull there $10 apice If the pull them $30 -$40 apice.
