I need to work on my clutch. I have never done this, but have done all other major repair jobs. For a 91 explorer what do I need to replace while doing this? I know I need to replace the pressure plate, and pilot bearings, what else should I replcace?
Unless you just love ripping things apart several times, my advise is" If it moves replace it now while it is apart"
Clutch plate, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and clutch slave servo. In short, everything replaceable inside the bell housing while it is open. It may cost a little bit more in parts, but what would additional down time later be worth?
