30° intake seat angle

Has anyone out there got any flow data on this? Grinding a 30° seat helps out alot of stock-headed motors, but I'm not sure if the 351C or 400 is one of them...

a 3 angle valve job has a 30,45,60 degrees cuts. The valve of 44 degrees still seats in the 45 angle cut. The valve job helps with airflow. There is less disturbence with the 3 angle cut. Thats my take on the matter. Some poeple might get theres cut to a 30 angle but i don't know.

Lightbulb here's an example

This is a really good arcticle with before and after flow numbers on an old big block Dodge smog head. This used to be a common mod with Harley engines too. The results are very impressive.

Anybody out there ever done this to a Cleveland head?

That was a good article, it looks like may of the ideas could be applied to the C heads. The authors explained the reasons for the results very well. Whether the 30 seat would work would have to be tried.
