shock question

If I change the shocks on my 99 Explorer XLS will I notice a notable difference? It is really bumpy and rough right now with the stock shocks? What do people recommend? And any rough ideas on the cost. I won't do it myself, I will have to take it somewhere. I just want it to ride like a caddy!

shock question

First, changing your shocks is simple with a basic socket set and vice grips. A Haynes manual helps a great deal too. I bought a 99 and immediately changed out the stock shocks. I put in Gabriel Pro Ryder VST on all four corners ($20 each at PepBoys) in about 2 hours. Big difference. Its still a bit rough but I keep about 35psi in my tires plus its an Explorer so its kinda gonna be rough.

I'll second those VSTs, they help improve the ride 100%.
