Antifreeze Question
I have a 2000, also, with 30K miles, and I am going to change mine out soon to the Gold Zerex GO-5. It is a long life coolant, HOAT, and will sufficiently provide the cavitation and corrosion protection your diesel engine needs, which is recommended for the Ford and Chrysler line. If you don't want that, then the Ford Gold will be great. Same thing, different label and price. Both are good for about a 100K miles before change is due, if flushed thoroughly and properly. I don't know about you, but I am going to change my upper radiator hose at the same time, because it is routed inside the serpentine belt, and get a hose that is routed outside. I may get the 203 degree thermostat , too while I have it drained.
